The Management Group (TMG) was founded in 1985, and is owned by Carmen Villarma (President). Other corporate officer includes Denise Dunkle (Chief Financial Officer). TMG manages over 14,000 units, with a well-balanced portfolio that includes apartment communities, homeowner associations, houses, offices, retail and commercial buildings.

Carmen Villarma, President & CEO, founded The Management Group, Inc. in 1985. TMG has grown into a full service real estate company with over 100 associates managing 14,000 residential and commercial properties in Washington and Oregon. Carmen is actively involved in all aspects of the Company’s operations. She was awarded the Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation in 1998 and The Management Group, Inc. earned the Accredited Management Organization credential (AMO). Only 15% of management firms across the nation achieve the standards and ethics to earn this accreditation from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). TMG is an active member of the MMHA, Metro Multifamily Housing Association and Carmen has participated numerous times on their Apartment Report expert panel. In 2008, Villarma was honored as the Woman Executive of the Year by the Portland Business Journal and selected as one of the most powerful women in Clark County by The Columbian. A dedicated community leader and volunteer, Villarma has served on many boards of directors including Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce, Board of First Independent Bank, the Clark College Foundation and was appointed in 2006 to Washington State Governor Chris Gregoire’s Washington Economic Development Finance Authority board of directors.

Denise Dunkle, Chief Financial Officer, has more than 20 years of experience overseeing the financial needs and requirements of real estate investors. Denise directly oversees accounting, IT, human resources and maintenance for the Company with a focus on client retention, staff education and career development. She is also responsible for overseeing new technology integrations to improve and enhance operations. Along with her expertise and innovation in strategic planning, Denise understands the critical need for dynamic business partners to enhance the results delivered to the client. As a result, she has developed many business partnerships for the benefit of the company and client.

Hired by TMG, Inc. in 2001, Lynda DuLong serves as the executive manager for Oregon and Washington community management. Prior to coming onboard with TMG, Inc., Lynda’s background included working for a builder in corporate sales and in marketing. She is the current chairperson on Community Association Institutes (CAI) Social Board, holds a Fair Housing certification, is certified in CAI-M100, a member of the Beaverton Chamber of Commerce and a former member of Oregon Washington Community Association Management (OWCAM). Lynda’s education includes a degree in business management; she relocated to Portland, OR, from Hampton, VA, in 1998.

Diana Marie Ferguson, Property Manager, has been employed in property management for over 16 years. She has worked in both the Portland, OR, and Vancouver, WA, markets and has managed properties up to 214 units.
Born in Covina, California, Diana Marie has lived in the Portland/Vancouver area for 37 years. She has three daughters, is an avid bass guitarist, and spends a great deal of her spare time with her horse that her daughter rides in parades, rodeos, and gaming events like barrel racing. Diana Marie is a graduate of Business Computer Training Institute and Western Business College.

Jorge Ferro, RMP, has been in property management for more than 25 years. His tenure at TMG Inc. includes 14 years of service. Jorge was born in Mexico City, grew up in Puebla, Mexico and has a BA in Business Administration from the University of Americas.
Jorge became a member of NARPM®, the National Association of Residential Property Managers, in 1997 and acquired his RMP, Residential Management Professional, designation in September 2001. NARPM® designations are earned with a combination of property management experience, NARPM® and industry education, and service to the association through volunteer activities.
In his spare time, Jorge enjoys spending time with his wife of 30 years, Susan, and their two grown children. He also enjoys culinary classes, Formula 3 racing, video editing, photography, skydiving and soccer.

Amanda Holpuch, New Business Specialist, originally started with The Management Group in 2007. She is a licensed Broker in Washington and a licensed Property Manager in Oregon. Amanda specializes in new client relationships in both states. She works directly with the new owners during the process of renting their homes.
Amanda is a Vancouver native. In her spare time Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband, son and Yorkie.

Cheryl Paul has been with TMG since July 2011. Her background includes working as a multi-family and single-family leasing professional and property manager, and as an Assistant Portfolio Manager of multi-family properties and homeowners associations. She also spent 7 years working for a non-profit agency, managing large facility rehabilitation projects for local school districts and other non-profit agencies. Cheryl is a native Oregonian from the Tigard area and is a proud Tigard High School supporter.

Tina joined the TMG team in December 2011 as a Portfolio Manager. She has twelve years of experience in property and asset management and has managed sites ranging from 22 to 328 units. She has managed conventional, mixed-use and low-income housing tax credit sites throughout Oregon and Washington as well as assisted with construction management and defect resolution. Tina served in the Air National Guard for eight years and received her degree in Behavioral Science from Northwest College in Kirkland, WA. In June 2006, she received her MBA from the University of Phoenix, with an emphasis in Organizational Management. She volunteers her time as a coach and enjoys playing volleyball. With two teenage children, her weekends are spent at football, basketball and soccer games.

Michelle’s responsibilities include training and supervision of the TMG Inc. administrative team, with an emphasis on customer service and operational functions such as maintenance tracking, database accuracy, and quality control.

Sharon was previously the director of human resources for an Arizona real estate investment company and has been a partner at a national law firm specializing in labor and employment law. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Dakota with a bachelor of arts in advertising, and received her Juris Doctorate degree, Order of the Coif, from the University of Oregon School of Law.
